This is how you write a song!
I actually forgot that I was listening to a submission as it sounded so much like a Bon Jovi song – Not any one in particular, just the format and style, maybe more the solo stuff tbh – and oh, the vocal!
I think it had a lot to do with the “come on come on come ons” but, lets get back to the singing for a minute.
The way the track opened with that deep, husky toned voice.. it really grabbed my interest and, YES, it was sooo like JBJ that I thought for a moment that this was a cover but it was so characterful, toneful and, above all, tuneful.
Musically, everything was spot on with some stunning guitar work, steady rhythm and it all came together to make a very upbeat track – which was laid back at the same time – and the choruses were highly catchy.
I did become aware that I was singing along before the end of the first listen! Cracking song that could be slotted into Destination Anywhere and nobody would know.
