I can’t listen to Matney without thinking of ZZ Top!
Man, this is another absolute stormer of a song. From that initial drum beat with the thunder of the bass, the first riff, right into the vocal, it just kicks into the coolest vibe and I’m hooked in about 18 seconds!
As it progresses, it also gives me a bit of a Def Leppard feel – I think it’s the tightness of the production that does it.
Solid playing throughout and some very nifty guitar work culminating in a really ace solo. Flawless vocal, it’s catchy, it’s sexy and it’s a hook laden, groove filled masterpiece.
