This opened rather classily with an instant display of intent.
A nice, chunky riff blended well with some nice rumbling from the bass and it was beefed up by some solid drumming which made itself known, creating a tight sound, like a seasoned, well oiled machine.
The vocal came in and, I must say, really set things on fire here.
One thing to remember here, this wasn’t light entertainment, this was a song with meaning and the vocal delivery really accentuated that. It never faded into the background but rather led the charge, with purpose.
The band are a four piece from Glasgow and compose stories questioning the modern world we live in, rather than just singalong anthems – Although, the chorus here is certainly singalongable.
Some fine, accomplished playing with a very professional, polished level of production (say that fast twenty times) make this a pleasure to listen to and I for one cannot wait for their second album – where the track will appear – releases in September.
