Bonneville ‘Maybe I’m Gone’
Yeah, I liked this. Swaggering, blues edged rock with a hint of country for good measure.
A bit like The Black Crowes with an added touch of soul – particularly in those BVs.
The lead vocal wasn’t perfect but, it was consistent and had a confidence about its delivery and that made all the difference here.
Some well placed Keys parts shone here and I thought it was very well structured with some excellent production.
They say a strong chorus can make a song and my personal take is that that was most definitely the case with Maybe I’m Gone!
