This was an instant hit with me – straight from that opening vocal!
I wasn’t expecting it from that heavy, Maiden style riff that kicked it off but, it DID give me a pleasant surprise.
For me, especially with the addition of that guitar solo, it was like a blend of Iron Maiden and Evanescence. The solid, aggressive edge of the guitars, thundering rhythm and then that silky pitch perfect vocal.
I thought that the track was well mixed and production was perfect.
I’d love to hear that voice really fgo for it though as, at times, it just felt as if it was playing things a bit safe.
