This was a bit of a slowburner. But, Ooh, that guitar intro was good!

The way the vocal came in over the top as well, it instantly showed that Jon Bon Jovi light gritiness I’ve become so familiar with from this artist.

After that slow start, this kind of grew into itself and I’ll echo a previous single – This guy sure knows how to write a song!

It flowed so well right the way though and had some nice extra impact sections which boosted the mood a little.

Timothy hit the nail on the head in his message to me with the song,  right, I WAS singing along when it came to the chorus..

.. I did find the the chorus a bit repetitive, I’ll be honest, which is my sole “complaint” on Better Late. My feeling is that the rest of the song was so strong that it owed itself a bit more meat on the bones with the choral lyrics.

That JBJ edge to the vocal came more to the surface around here though and it worked out alright.

The song ended a lot stronger than it began for me with some really emotive, slick guitar playing. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
