Very few songs kick straight off with a vocal but this one did it with absolute finesse. Normally with a song, it takes at least the first thirty seconds to decide whether or not to buy into it or be poised to press that stop button but, there is such a raw energy to this song and early quality that I was into it immediately and just got dragged along for the ride. It has an excellent riff but there is so much more going on here with every instrument making its presence felt. I loved the whole rhythm and there was such a cracking bounce to the drums and the cymbals were so crisp and clear. I especially loved it around 1:50 where we had the breakdown and it built back up with the guitar and bass in unison, the steady beat, relaxed vocal and then we kick off again around 3:09 with some added grit in the vocals which made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. Not only is this a cracking song but it has been superbly produced, retaining the energy and a natural feel to the playing which, can often be strangled in the pursuit of perfection. Excellent track.
