This opened in a very intriguing manner with a little drum beat and bassline and I just loved the depth of the bass in there. What a way to set the song’s tone!
The vocal, when it came in, was quite low which made me concentrate on it a lot more and I have to say, it had a really interesting vibe. A very melodic sound with a little touch of grit when it needed it.
The track built well and at each part that it DID lift a little, the bass player was the star of the show, continuing to control the mood. Don’t get me wrong, the guitar work in here was excellent too but it appeared almost incidental at times for me.
The song was pretty consistent and I did expect it to properly take off into full on RATM attitude but it kept it’s composure throughout.
Very enjoyable start to finish.
