This is one of those songs that I just sat, finger poised, waiting for that moment. The point of no return. As if I was a panel member on The Voice!
It began with a real funk, infused soulful vibe and my feet were under its control right away.I’m telling you, this has Starsky & Hutch goodness about it!
The band said to wait for 1:08 to really feel the vocal. They weren’t wrong. It’s one of those tracks that never puts a foot wrong and every single thing that is added to the mix enhances it.
Smooth rhythm, amazing guitar work and that funkadelic bluesy bass… well, what can I say? The vocal was flawless with a good tone and excellent range and the guitar playing was just immense.
