It was evident within the opening twenty seconds that this was something special.
The laid back playing was sublime and I was already a little chilled even before the singing started. I really liked the character in the singing which did very much put me in mind of Stevie Nicks. So much so that I did wonder if it was the singer’s natural voice or if it was a conscious attempt to sound like her?
The chorus did have a bit of a howling element to it, a little LIKE a coyote – again, coincidence or intention? Either way, I think it worked well.
We didn’t see much variation in the music though which was a little disappointing although, it was broken up by a cracking, toneful, emotive guitar solo. Is it worth a listen? Absolutely!
