This was a song that just kept giving. Charismatic vocal with some pop edged guitar rhythm to start – quite a commercial appeal to it I thought.
The solo was like a mix of Brian May’s tone and John Mayer’s playing and I loved the lift after around the 2:30 mark where it kind of developed a bit of gritty depth and we started to really feel some energy.
I didn’t get the ending though as it seemed to fade out for absolutely ages before adding in a bit of guitar and heading for the finish line.
I don’t think I’d call it southern rock though I have to say…. more pop rock with a little alternative bluesy, soul edge (whatever you call that lol).
