It’s like the 70s have returned!
Some amazingly riffy classic rock worthy of Free and early Aerosmith with a bit of added bluesiness in the drumming – so much so that Cozy Powell could have been your stickman!
It’s not often we hear music of this standard tbh – in this style. If there was one thing I’d like to see tweaked, it’s the production on the cymbals to stem the crashing as the way it is done here gave it all a little bit of a live feel and they just rang on a little too long for me. BUT… that’s more of an observation than a criticism really.
Excellent playing by everyone involved and a vocal that has the lot… tone, range, stability, character … the whole package.
For bands that like Free, Rival Sons and just that classic bluesy rock sound, I would highly recommend a bit of Honeyvolt.
