The intro was a bit strange and I just wasn’t sure if this one was for me but, I thought I’d give it some time and kept listening.

The sound was quite grungy and almost underproduced but, the bassline was a little intriguing and it started to draw me in.

The drums had a very compressed punch to them and that along with the bass offered the perfect backdrop for the guitar riffage.

The vocals were really good but had that sort of overdriven, verging on blown speaker effect on top and I had to come to make my peace with that as I was enjoying what I was hearing, really getting into the groove.

I’ve heard a few artists using that kind of effect recently so maybe it’s the blues n roots rock world’s answer to auotune 🙂

Glad I stayed the course as it’s a cracking song!
