The first drum beat had me hooked, I’ll be honest.
The melody in the music just had enough in there to drive the track and back that gentle vocal to perfection.
When the music lifted, the guitars entered the fray and the vocal developed a bit of a gritty edge, I couldn’t help but think what a superb song this actually was.
There was nothing individual that was a standout WOW factor but, when you put it all together in this polished prodcution, it made something pretty amazing.
Every instrument was on top form, the vocal was tuneful and note/pitch perfect. Even the bassist got a chance to shine about ten seconds before the end and the execution of the ending made the song all the more memorable.
