I wasn’t sure about this when it started with the guitar as it just felt a little raw. But.. That vocal is the bomb!
The concept of this track is so simple.. nothing that hasn’t been done in a million different ways by a million different people but, they haven’t all had a vocal like that leading the way.
Now, I’m trying to highlight a little, the actual quality of the vocal and how, a song that follows a tried and trusted format can be made to stand out from the crowd when it has something that the others don’t have (THAT vocal).
There’s a very effective blend of acoustic and electric guitar throughout and I think that the rhythm work being acoustic just gave the lead so much more impetus.
This track is proof that rawness in production can have a positive effect on a song . I will warn you though, it’s quite a tiring song this because, if you are anything like me, you’re feet will rattle in time with this the entire way through!
