A tasty, teasing intro and it sounded right up my street straight away.
I’ll be honest, it nearly lost me on the strange synthy interlude near the start but, I was intrigued as to what was coming, so stick around it’s worth it.
The beat was right out of the 80s, the riff hit and then the singing came. A capable – not quite perfect but good enough – vocal that displayed an impressive range as it delivered some catchy hair metal lyrics and I was kinda hooked.
The star of it all had to be the guitars though – wow… it’s not often you hear the blistering lead breaks of yesteryear in songs nowadays but this was off the chart authentic and it could have been lifted right out of the Tim Kelly playbook.
Was it perfect all the way? No, the production could have a few tweaks, the vocals could have a little more control but, this was catchy and made me feel young again 🙂
