The piano intro threw me a bit here, I’ll be honest. It sounded as if it was going to be a wee slow ballad.
Thankfully, I didn’t have too long to wait for that thought to be blown away though.
The rhythm picked up, guitars delivered some great melodic vibes in the vein of Del Amitri and Deacon Blue, the vocals then added a touch of Springsteen meets The Pogues and, it all worked – I don’t know why, it just did!
A crazily upbeat track, hugely enjoyable, great production and some really noice keys/piano work in there too.
Catchy, friendly and just ticked some boxes.
