Opening with a vocal like that just isn’t fair! Smooth as chocolate!

 

Everything about this song was pretty perfect with one of the coolest bass licks ever, well timed drumming, amazing guitar playing and, well, that voice!

 

It was well structured, sounded tight, had a good, singable chorus and a kick arse solo. Now… the solo… there’s a thing. One of my favourite solos is While My Guitar Gently Weeps – especially the way Prince played it – and I felt a fair bit of that in here. I’m not saying the band copied it but there are definite similarites there, not least in the standard of playing and emotion exuded.

 

Stunning song that really got me tbh. Just stunning!
