The way this starts off kinda left me without any expectations really. I was anticipating just another run of the mill soft rock track.

There was nothing remarkable about its entrance or the vocal tbh. As it built though, had my thoughts been words, I’d have been eating them. As the plodding drumbeat and accompanying bassline backed the vocals, there was just a subtle addition here and there that just added body as it went.

From the piano parts, backing vocals and lead guitar, not to mention the steady rhythm section, it became obvious just how much quality this track had and, how well written a song it was.

From the way it opened, I’d never have thought it posssible for the singer to have such character and range to his voice and I finished the listen a little in awe of what I had just heard. Excellent song!
