It’s no secret that I’ve been a fan of Kim’s talents for a few years now so, when I heard she was releasing a new single, I was pretty excited.

It makes it’s entrance tentatively with a bit of a cool riff and some relaxed vocals before the drums kick in to add to the momentum before it ramps up and boots in the doors as we welcome the chorus.

One of the things I liked most about this song was that it really showcased the quality of Kim’s voice – it wasn’t just 100mph high energy lung-busting, range defying hard rocking gritiness – although, we did have some of that too – this song gave us more of an insight into what Kim is capable of and, for me, showed how much she has matured as an artist.

It’s self-penned and it’s clear to see that Miss Jennett is not just an awesome vocalist, she can write a song as well!

We  did have a couple of expletives which I’m not a huge fan of but, on this occasion, I forgave that. It’s cracker of a song with a solid structure and I thought the production was immense. If you’re a fan of Halestorm, try this one for size.

There’s an EP on the way and I for one, can’t wait!
