I liked the way this just kicked straight in with the vocals.

It immediately gave me thoughts of Marillion – which is a high compliment from me as I think Steve Hogarth has one of the finest voices in the business. There was a wee hint of Tom Petty in it too I thought.

Musically, it was quite understated but, when I took the time to sit back and focus a little less on the singing and more on everything else that was happening, the quality of the playing really shone through.

Production was crystal clear and I liked the depth of tone coming from the bass guitar.
