A bright opening made this attractive right away for me.

The singing was superb with nice tone and calming character.

Musically, it all worked and came together at the right times and the natural sounding distortion over that strumming pattern in the rhythm guitar hit well.

There was a nice uplift as it went into the chorus giving the track a lot more body, before playing out quite gently which, I felt contrasted nicely.

It was poppy but with enough of a rock edge to put it right into our sights and there were a lot of boxes ticked for sure.
