As the song started, it had a lightness about it and I wasn’t sure that it was going to be for me… BUT….. There was just something about the voice that kept me hooked in.
The music had a simplicity about it as well and the drums seemed to take centre stage which was new on me… there WERE guitars in there but they were just so subtle and almost hidden in there.
I was settling in to it when it took an almighty lift just a touch before two minutes in as the guitars sprung into action. It gave the song a totally different feel and took us out to the end in very energetic style.
As it came to an abrupt end, I was actually a little disappointed as it was really turning into my kind of thing. That said, it did enough along the way to impress me and make me want to share it.
Well written and well produced and not a foot put wrong by anyone!
