Stunning song, absolutely stunning. Just like they used to write in the 80s.
The first 15 seconds or so didn’t have it shaping up to be my sort of thing BUT, as soon as the vocal came in, it was obvious that this singer had that “something”.
There’s a lift around 1:08, where we’re treated to a glimpse of what was to come. The drumming provided the perfect backdrop and the punch of the snare pulled everything together as the bass drove it on.
The guitar work was impressive and complimented the vocal throughout bringing the right amount of aggression to proceedings.
The solo was so fluid and emotive that I struggled to tell if it was a guitar or keyboard but, I was so hooked into the song that I didn’t really care that much to find out.
Amazing song, well produced and one of the best vocals I’ve heard in recent years putting me in mind of Ann Wilson and Sandi Saraya.
A song so impressive, Dianne Warren could have written it!
