After a bit of a soft start, this really grew on me. Possibly due to the simplicity of it all being honest. But, possibly also due to the vocal performance.
It was just quite refreshing actually to be met with a “normal” song with a tried and tested structure. Nice, pleasant playing, clear production and a vocal that was like a tuneful Bruce Springsteen.
I DID think it was ending a bit before the three minute mark as it all faded away but, it returned and we had more of the same and a lovely wee violin solo a little later too.
Had it ended around that three minutes that’d have been fine.. I think it could have being honest but, I still enjoyed it all.
Very classy.
