Such a gentle, but emotive introduction.

I was surprised as the vocal came in around 18 seconds in… normally these types of songs have a much more protracted intro and take time to build.

Not that I was complaining as it’s always the vocal that is the clincher for me when deciding on a song’s suitability.

When the full band sound kicked in, it gave the track a whole new dimension and allowed the emotion to develop. Around 2:45, we have a little bridge, the vocal is almost alone and it’s here that you truly appreciate the tonal quality of this voice.

It wasn’t ALL about the singing though, the instrumentation was 100% on point and was perfectly mixed and produced which just accentuated how stunning this song actually was.
