This opened in excellent style but, when it sunk back a little I wasn’t sure… something was lacking.
THEN… My speakers burst into life with such a charismatic vocal that just oozed presence. This was now my focus for the rest of the listen and it was like a Creedence meets Free meets Rolling Stones energy throughout.
The playing was excellent throughout, the solo was awesome – perhaps a little high in the mix, but awesome all the same.
Production could have been better as there was a bit of a harshness to the sound, especially at the high frequency end and, had this been better it would have made it an even more enjoyable listen. Perhaps all that added to that 70s kinda vibe and that was the idea but, on the whole, it was a solid bit of hard rockin rock n roll!
